Returns & Refunds Policy

Almost everything we make is printed just for you, from a file you upload. Because of that, our policy works differently for custom-printed orders than for stock items like envelope packs. Here's exactly how both work.
Our Make-It-Right Guarantee (custom-printed orders)
If we get your order wrong, we fix it — period. That covers:

Scale errors — your pattern didn't print at true 100% scale

Print quality problems — missing pages, cut-off content, streaks, illegible lines, or the wrong paper

Damage in transit — your order arrived bent, torn, or water-damaged
How to file a claim: Email support@tapefreepatterns.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number and a photo or two showing the problem. That's it — you don't need to mail anything back. Keep or recycle the affected prints.
What you get: Your choice of a free reprint (we cover printing and shipping) or a full refund of the affected items to your original payment method. We issue approved refunds within 5 business days; your bank or card issuer may take an additional 5–10 business days to post it.
What the guarantee doesn't cover
Because every print is custom-made from the file you supply, we can't accept returns or issue refunds for:

Errors in the uploaded file itself (missing layers, wrong version, designer errata, or incorrect page selections)

Ordering the wrong pattern, size, or format

Change of mind after printing
Before you order, please double-check that you've uploaded the correct file and selected the pages you want. If you're unsure about anything, email us before you order — we're happy to look at your file with you.
Cancelling an order
Need to cancel or fix a mistake? Email support@tapefreepatterns.com as soon as possible with your order number. If your order hasn't entered production yet, we'll cancel it and issue a full refund to your original payment method — no cancellation fee. Once printing has started, the order is custom-made and can no longer be cancelled — but if something's wrong with what arrives, the Make-It-Right Guarantee above applies.
Lost or misdelivered packages
Every order ships with tracking. If your tracking shows no delivery and no movement, email support@tapefreepatterns.com — we'll file the carrier claim ourselves and reprint your order free of charge. We can't refund or reprint packages the carrier has marked as delivered, or orders shipped to an address that was entered incorrectly at checkout. If a package comes back to us because of an address error, we'll gladly reship it; you'll only pay the new postage.
Stock items (envelope packs and other non-custom goods)
Stock items may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund to your original payment method, as long as they're unused and in original condition. To start a return, email support@tapefreepatterns.com with your order number and we'll send you the return address. Return shipping is paid by the customer; there is no restocking fee. We issue your refund within 5 business days of receiving the return.
If a stock item arrives damaged or defective, don't ship it back — email us a photo within 30 days of delivery and we'll replace it or refund it free of charge.
